Dr Ratany received her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, Cambodia. She successfully completed specialist training program in Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (China) under bilateral government scholarship. 

She started her career as a Specialist Doctor at Calmette Hospital and Phnom Penh Skin Clinic since 2017. She is currently working at the internal medicine department of Sunrise Japan Hospital. 

She received many hand-on training such as intensive care technique with Tan Tok Seng Hospital (Singapore), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with Sunrise Japan Hospital, Neurology with Prasat Neurology Institute (Bangkok).

In addition to clinical practice, she conducted a cross-sectional research on diabetic peripheral neuropathy involving more than five hundred patients which were accepted for oral presentation at the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) and the ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies (AFES).
