Dr Chou Ning, Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon and Medical Director at Chou Neuroscience Clinic, boasts expertise in diverse neurosurgical domains.
His accomplishments include pioneering the retro sigmoid approach for tumour resection, excising cerebra-pontine tumors, and introducing ECIC vascular bypass surgery.
He is a specialist in stereotactic radiotherapy and is deeply invested in treating cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions.
He had served the public sector for more than two decades as a Senior Consultant NeuroSurgeon. He has accumulated vast experience in neurotrauma, vascular neurosurgery, tumor surgery, skull base surgery, paediatric neurosurgery, pituitary surgery and spinal surgery. He is well conversant with both cranial and spinal surgery.
Dr Chou Ning spent three years from 1994 to 1997 at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel; UK. He was sent by the Ministry of Health, when he was awarded the Human Manpower Development Planning for Neurosurgery.
He had trained at the hospital under Dr Tom King who pioneered the Translabrinthine Approach for Acoustic Neuroma. Dr Chou Ning was the last registrar to train under Dr Tom King, who in turn was trained under the master neurosurgeon, Northfields.
Between 1994 to 1997, Dr Chou Ning also trained under eminent master neurosurgeon like Dr Afshar who would routinely complete a transphenoidal resection of Pituitary tumour under an operative time of one hour.
