The skin; being the largest organ of the body, is prone to a wide range of conditions and diseas-es. It often reflects overall health and is the first line of defense against bacteria and injury. Dermatology is focused on the problems and treatments of skin disorders including acne, psoriasis, dermatitis and fungal infections. Dermatological conditions can be treated with medication and non-invasive therapy, but some require surgical intervention or more invasive modality. Cosmetic treatment like chemical peels and laser treatment are also part of der-matology.
