As our senior consultant, Dr. Lim has a special interest in breast surgery and manages both benign and malignant breast conditions. Prior to joining Solis, Dr. Lim was practicing at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre, Singapore.
Recognised as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
At the National University of Singapore (NUS), Dr. Lim obtained both her medical degree and Masters of Medicine (Surgery). Following that, she completed her advanced specialist training in General Surgery and was recognised as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2011.
Awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme Scholarship
In 2013, Dr. Lim was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme scholarship and completed her subspecialty training at the Center for Breast Cancer, National Cancer Center, Korea.
Learning the Latest Advancements in Breast Cancer Management
Over the course of this one-year fellowship training in Korea, Dr. Lim learned the latest advancements in breast cancer management, as well as Breast Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Trained in Breast Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Lim is one of the few breast surgeons in Singapore who is trained in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery, which combines breast cancer tumour removal and plastic surgery techniques to maintain the aesthetic outcome of the breast.
Advanced Observerships in Korea and Japan
Going above and beyond, Dr. Lim has done observerships at world-renowned hospitals in Korea and Japan (Yonsei Severance Hospital, Kameda Medical Center, Nakagami Hospital) to further her skills in minimally invasive breast surgery, and partial and full breast reconstruction.
Passionate Advocate for Medical Work in Developing Countries
Never settling, Dr. Lim is a passionate advocate for medical work in developing countries. She has participated in many medical missions throughout her career and remains active in providing medical care in the region.
Dr. Lim is also actively involved in research, and her work has been presented at international conferences and published in multiple medical journals.
